MAIN CAMPUS / SEMINAR
VISITORS
The Nutrition Center is housed
off campus at 2718 Middleburg Drive, 2nd Floor. However,
we typically hold our monthly seminars on campus at 800 Sumter
Street in the Health Sciences Center. Feel free to visit
one of our Nutrition Center Seminars
(See Upcoming Events). The Public Health Building is on the
corner of Greene Street & Sumter Street - right next to the
Horseshoe - the central place to be on campus. Come in and
look around all the class rooms and the computer lab. Faculty
have their office doors open most of the time and everyone a
willing to talk to you.
The building is just a few
steps to the Russell House where you can grab a bite to eat and
enjoy your meal at the pool with its relaxing atmosphere in
front of the Thomas Cooper Library. Or stroll across the
Horseshoe and along the oldest houses of the campus
toward
the USC
Visitor Center and the
McKissick
Museum. And don't forget to to peek in the new
Strom Thurmond Wellness and Fitness Center just 2 away.
Parking
Campus visitors may obtain a free one-day visitor permit from
the USC
Visitor Center. The visitor permit is valid in various lots
throughout campus. Metered parking is also available right in
front of the building and most of the streets on campus. The
nearest public parking garage is
Bull Street garage at the corner of Blossom Street and Bull
Street.
Middleburg Plaza has very
accessible parking, directly in front of the building.
Lodging
If you like the charm of an upscale inn right in the heart of
the USC campus you should choose the

You can also choose from a good list of hotels, motels or B&B at
the
Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce website.
